About DION

DION is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker, digital media strategist, and video producer.

The Singapore-born video artist grew up admiring the aesthetic influences of classic film auteurs like Akira Kurosawa, Jean-Luc Godard, and Sergei Eisenstein. After pursuing a Master's degree in New York University's News and Documentary program, DION resided in New York City and founded her eponymous studio. In 2013, DION released her first political online documentary, Kakusei: The Fukushima End, which went viral on social media in Japan.

DION's video works have also been featured in publications and television networks such as The New York Times, New York Magazine, Spectrum News NY1, and Blouin Artinfo.
