About DION

DION is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, digital media strategist, and video producer.

Born in Singapore, she was influenced by film auteurs like Akira Kurosawa, Jean-Luc Godard, and Sergei Eisenstein. After earning a Master’s degree from New York University’s News and Documentary program, DION founded her own studio in New York City.

In 2013, she released her first political online documentary, “Kakusei: The Fukushima End,” which gained significant attention on Japanese social media.

DION’s cinematography works has been featured in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Spectrum News NY1, and international art galleries.
